QSGI to Provide Client-Site Data Security and Compliance Services for Leading Retailer
HIGHTSTOWN, NJ—February 26, 2007—QSGI, Inc. (OTC:BB QSGI) the only data security and regulatory compliance provider offering a full suite of life-cycle services for a corporation’s entire IT platform, today announced that it has entered an agreement to provide its full suite of data security and compliance services for a leading retailer, both at the client site and at QSGI’s facilities.
Under the agreement with this retailer, QSGI will utilize its high-volume mobile audit and erasure facility, which is contained within a tractor trailer, and is capable of processing more than 1,000 desktops, laptops, servers and data tapes per day. QSGI will initially deploy its mobile facility at the client’s nationwide processing hub, with the ability to move the facility at a moment’s notice to any of the customer’s facilities, and process equipment there. The mobile facility can ensure both secure on-site audit and erasure, as well as risk free transport of the client’s IT assets.
“We are excited to provide our full suite of data security and compliance solutions for this major retailer, and anticipate broad utilization of our new mobile facility,” stated Marc Sherman, chairman and CEO of QSGI. “We won this account due to our secure client-site solutions, which enable us to deploy our entire suite of data security and compliance services at any of the client’s locations, including: real-time auditing and on-line reporting; hard drive disk erasure to a minimum 3X Department of Defense overwrite; asset de-tagging, seven-year asset tracking of all end-of-life equipment for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance; multiple-site services, flexible processing times and quantities; and re-marketing of substantially all the client’s IT assets to recover value from the retiring assets. Our success with this retailer follows on the heels of another major account we recently signed for our client-site data security and compliance suitcase solution with a global financial institution.”
Mr. Sherman concluded, “It is clear that our on-site services have become a major competitive advantage for us now that companies are becoming aware of the risks involved with transporting sensitive data—especially in light of the recent high profile data security breaches during transportation at several major institutions.”
